Who led the Persian army against the Greeks in the Second Persian War?

The Persian army in the Second Persian War was led by King Xerxes I, who was the son of King Darius I. Xerxes I was the main commander and played a central role in the military campaigns against the Greeks. Ultimately, however, the Persian forces were defeated by the Greeks in battles such as the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea.
