Classmate 1: I didn’t see any bias in the article. I think the reporters believed the White Star Hype because it seemed believable. I don’t think propaganda exists today.

Classmate 2: Propaganda exists in the media today big time. Sometimes, you may not be able to trust what a newspaper says because it has a certain agenda or bias. I think the same thing happened in 1912. That’s just my opinion.

I agree with Classmate 2. Propaganda and bias definitely exist in the media today. Many news outlets have certain agendas or biases, and it can be difficult to trust everything that is reported. The same could have been true in 1912 with the White Star Hype, as the media may have had biases or motivations behind their reporting.
