On the morning of August 21, 2017, a strange thing happened. Shortly after 9:00 A.M., the Sun over Madras, Oregon, began to disappear! Less and less of it was visible until, at 10:19 A.M., it was entirely hidden from view. For just over two minutes, the town of Madras became dark as night.
