Compared with the Moon, Earth has a much larger acceleration due to gravity. On the Moon, person's mass would be

the same as on Earth, but their weight would be significantly less. The acceleration due to gravity on the Moon is only about 1/6th of that on Earth. This means that any object or person on the Moon would experience only about 1/6th of the gravitational force compared to Earth.

Since weight is a measure of the gravitational force acting on an object, a person's weight on the Moon would be much lighter than on Earth. However, their mass would remain the same, as mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object and is independent of the gravitational field it is in.
