What is an AUP?

AUP stands for Acceptable Use Policy. It is a set of rules and guidelines that outline the acceptable and unacceptable behaviors and actions of individuals or organizations while using a network, system, or service. An AUP is typically implemented by companies, educational institutions, or other organizations to ensure proper use of their resources and to prevent misuse or abuse. It defines what activities are permitted, what actions are prohibited, and the consequences for violating the policy.
