Read the short passage “The Reader.”
Dialogue- Include a conversation between Jorge and the new character. (Must have at least 4 lines of dialogue & must use correct punctuation for dialogue.)
Jorge entered the library and spotted a mysterious figure sitting in a corner with a book in hand. Curiosity got the better of him, and he made his way towards the stranger.
"Excuse me, may I join you?" Jorge asked politely.
The stranger looked up, his eyes gleaming with intellect. "Of course, feel free to sit," he responded.
Jorge took a seat opposite the stranger and gestured towards the book. "What are you reading? It seems captivating."
The stranger smiled warmly. "Ah, this is an old classic, 'The Great Gatsby.' Have you read it?"
Jorge shook his head. "No, but I've always wanted to. Is it a good read?"
The stranger nodded knowingly. "Indeed, it's an exquisite work of literature. Filled with intrigue, romance, and society's reflections, this novel is worth delving into."
Jorge felt an instant connection with the stranger. Little did he know, this would be the start of a profound friendship.
