Juneteenth is a super important day in American history when the last enslaved people in Texas finally found out they were free. It happened on June 19, 1865, way back after the Civil War ended. We celebrate Juneteenth to remember and honor the end of slavery in the United States, and to keep fighting for equality and justice for all people.
