Some of the students at Georgia Middle School like to walk to and from school. They always walk unless it rains. Let d be the distance in miles from a student's home to the school. Write two different expressions that represent how far a student travels by walking in a two week period if there is one rainy day each week.

HALP

Expression 1:

In a two-week period, a student would walk to and from school every day except one rainy day each week. So, the distance traveled by walking in one day is 2d (to school + from school).
Considering there is one rainy day each week, the student would walk for 13 days in total. Therefore, the distance traveled by walking in a two-week period is 13 * 2d = 26d miles.

Expression 2:
Since there is one rainy day each week, the student would walk for 5 days in the first week and 5 days in the second week (totaling 10 days). So, the distance traveled by walking in the first week is 5 * 2d = 10d miles, and the distance traveled in the second week is also 5 * 2d = 10d miles. Therefore, the distance traveled by walking in a two-week period is 10d + 10d = 20d miles.
