In this part of the assignment, you will orally deliver your instructions to another student or teacher.
Step 1: Plan to deliver your instructions to another student or teacher.
Review the Trip Planning Worksheet in Appendix B that your listener will complete during or after your oral presentation.
Read through the process at least once. Try following your own instructions to complete the process.
Monitor your delivery by evaluating your speaking skills. Do you:
explain the goal clearly?
explain what is needed?
use easy-to-follow yet specific language?
speak clearly, audibly, and at an understandable pace?
speak enthusiastically?
pause every so often to be sure the person understands?
wrap up the presentation by evaluating the outcome?
Step 2: Present your trip-planning process to another student or your teacher.
Provide your listener with the Trip Planning Worksheet in Appendix B to complete during or after your oral presentation.
Use effective speaking strategies to explain your process to another student or a teacher.
Review the completed Trip Planning Worksheet to determine whether the listener was able to reach the desired outcome.

To present your trip-planning process effectively, follow these steps:

- Are you pausing every so often to be sure the person understands?
- Are you wrapping up the presentation by evaluating the outcome?

- Provide your listener with the Trip Planning Worksheet in Appendix B to complete during or after your oral presentation.
- Use effective speaking strategies to explain your process to another student or teacher.
- Make sure to explain the goal of the process clearly.
- Explain what is needed for each step of the process.
- Use easy-to-follow yet specific language so that your listener can understand and follow along.
- Speak clearly, audibly, and at an understandable pace.
- Try to speak enthusiastically to engage your listener.
- Pause every so often to check if the person understands.
- Wrap up your presentation by evaluating the outcome of the process.

Step 3: Review the completed Trip Planning Worksheet
- After your presentation, review the completed Trip Planning Worksheet.
- Determine whether the listener was able to reach the desired outcome as outlined in the worksheet.
- If there were any areas where the listener struggled or didn't understand, make note of them for future improvement.
- Use the feedback to refine your presentation skills and make necessary adjustments for future presentations.
