So as a loadmaster will you actually have chances to get on the ground in other places? I kinda thought you only get to see them from the sky

As a loadmaster, you primarily work on aircraft and are responsible for the safe loading, unloading, and securing of cargo and passengers. While your primary duty is to operate and manage the load within the aircraft, there are situations where loadmasters may have opportunities to go on the ground in other places.

During certain mission types, loadmasters may have the opportunity to perform airdrops, air-land operations, or aeromedical evacuation missions. In such cases, loadmasters may be required to leave the aircraft and assist in the coordination of loading and unloading of cargo or passengers on the ground.

Additionally, during ground operations, loadmasters may be involved in planning and coordinating load operations in various locations, including military bases and remote areas. This would require loadmasters to work on the ground, interacting with personnel and ensuring proper load distribution.

While loadmasters primarily operate from the air, there are still various opportunities where they can have direct involvement on the ground, depending on the mission and operational requirements.
