The main reason Christians attacked Jews during the Crusades was because some Christians viewed Jews as enemies of Christianity. Jews were often seen as "Christ killers" who were responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. This anti-Semitic sentiment was prevalent during the Middle Ages, and it fueled persecution and violence against Jews. Additionally, Christians believed that reclaiming the Holy Land from Muslim control was a sacred mission, and anyone who was not supporting the Christian cause, including Jews, was seen as hindering the Crusaders' objective. Some Jews were also attacked as a result of the plundering and looting that took place during the Crusades.
