After learning all about trade in the past and the present, especially international trade and how it impacts business and the economy, it is important to now look to the future.
One factor that will likely have a particularly significant impact on trade, business, and the global economy is Artificial Intelligence.
For this lab, you will be exploring the ways in which AI is expected to impact international trade and the global economy. Once you have performed plenty of research and gathered all of the information possible on the various ways that AI will impact international trade and the global economy, you will choose a creative way to present this information.
Some possible ideas:
A slideshow presentation with text and graphics/images
A video recording of yourself presenting and explaining your research
An animated video using a website like Prezi or a video creation app
A written essay identifying and explaining all of your research
Another creative format or method that you come up with on your own!
The possibilities are really endless when it comes to the ways in which you may present your information—let your creativity guide you.
You have lots of freedom for this lab, though you do need to make sure that whatever method you choose to present your information meets the following requirements:
Identify and explain at least three real-world AI applications that could impact international trade and/or the global economy.
Identify two real-world ways that AI already plays a role in business.
Include at least three visual aids in your research presentation: graphs, charts, tables, images, graphics, videos, etc.
Provide a list of every website and resource that you used in your research.
After you have completed your research and your creative presentation, please answer the following reflection questions:
Overall, do you believe that the growing popularity and development of AI will have a positive or negative impact on business, international trade, and the global economy? Explain.
What ways do you utilize AI in your own life? How do you anticipate or hope that you will integrate the use of AI into your day-to-day life in the future? Explain.
