How is giardia transmitted to other animals?

Through ingestion of contaminated food or water
Through direct contact with infected animals
Through mosquito bites
Through inhalation of airborne particles

Giardia is primarily transmitted through ingestion of contaminated food or water. It is a waterborne parasite that is often found in rivers, streams, and lakes, as well as in contaminated drinking water. When animals, including humans, consume this contaminated water or food, they can become infected with giardia.

Direct contact with infected animals, particularly their feces, can also transmit giardia. This can occur when animals come into contact with one another or through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects.

There is no evidence to suggest that giardia can be transmitted through mosquito bites or through inhalation of airborne particles.
