The African National Congress (ANC) worked hard to end apartheid in South Africa. The ANC, founded in 1912, led the struggle against apartheid and played a key role in the anti-apartheid movement. Prominent figures within the ANC, such as Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo, became influential leaders in the fight against apartheid. Through protests, boycotts, and international pressure, the ANC and its allies eventually succeeded in dismantling the apartheid system and establishing a democratic South Africa.
