According to Islamic belief, in 610 CE, the Prophet Muhammad received his first revelation from Allah (God) in a cave known as Hira, located outside Mecca. The angel Jibril (Gabriel) appeared to Muhammad and commanded him to recite the words of Allah. This encounter marked the beginning of Muhammad's prophethood and the revelation of the Quran, which is considered the holy book of Islam.
