Who are Punjabis?

Punjabis are a cultural and linguistic group originating from the Punjab region, which is divided between India and Pakistan. They are predominantly from the Indian state of Punjab and the Pakistani province of Punjab, as well as from other Punjabi-speaking regions. Punjabis are known for their rich cultural heritage, traditional music, dance, and cuisine. They are mainly Sikh, Hindu, or Muslim by religion, though there are also Punjabis who follow other faiths.
