In The Outsiders, the characters are judged for how they look. People made assumptions that they were not as good as everyone else because of where they came from. Why do you think people judge others in this way? Have you ever experienced this?

People often judge others based on their appearance because it is one of the first things we notice about someone. We form initial opinions and stereotypes based on visual cues such as clothing, hairstyle, or even the way someone carries themselves. Additionally, society has ingrained certain prejudices and biases into our minds, which influence our judgments.

I have indeed experienced being judged based on my appearance. For instance, when I wore more casual clothes and had a disheveled appearance during a job interview, the interviewer initially assumed that I wasn't serious about the position. Similarly, I have noticed that people may treat others differently based on their physical appearance or socioeconomic background. This kind of judgment can lead to unfair assumptions and discrimination, preventing individuals from fully showcasing their capabilities and potential.
