According to the Christian Bible, two criminals were crucified alongside Jesus. One criminal, who was also being crucified, mocked Jesus, while the other criminal defended Jesus and asked him to remember him when he entered his kingdom. Jesus responded by promising the second criminal that he would be with him in paradise.
