Algebra Linear Functions Test Connexus - Just took the test. Found lots of wrong answers here so this is what I have after taking the test. If my answers don’t match don’t use them. Updated Jan 2024.
For the data in the table, does y vary directly with x? if it does, write in equation for the direct variation. X - 8, 16, 24. Y-13, 26, 39
1-C yes; y=1.625x
2-D no; y does not vary directly with X
3-D Graph going up bottom right to top left
4-C Graph starting at 10 going up to the right to 10x
5-A 51/1; your car travels 51 miles every hour
6-C 1/5
7-B -2/3
8-C Undefined
9-B y-3=6(x-8)
10-C y+6=-5/8(x+10)
11-B y-21=7(x-3)
12-B graph down to top at -4
13-A 2x+3y=21
14-B y=3x+4
15-C perpendicular
16-D neither
17-B y-3=-3/8(x+2)
18-D the functions have the same shape. The y-intercept of y= |x| is 0 and the y- intercept of the second function is -5
19-C The two graphs have the same shape but the second graph is shifted 2 units down
20-A V going up to the left and right at -5
21-B V going up to the left and right at 4
22-A positive correlation
Last 2 haven’t been graded and not sure I’m correct or not. Found a lot of different answers for them on here.
23- On your own but from what I understand the answer is Yes -0.833 is a strong negative correlation. -0.833 is close to -1 in the data set
24- On your own but 11.9 or 12 seconds rounded to nearest 10th
This isn’t the full answer for the question but I couldn’t figure it all out
