a summary of your knowledge of gas exchange make it really short and sound like a 7th grader

Gas exchange is when our bodies get oxygen from the air and give out carbon dioxide. We breathe in oxygen through our lungs and breathe out carbon dioxide. It happens inside tiny air sacs called alveoli in our lungs. Blood vessels called capillaries surround the alveoli and pick up oxygen from them while giving out carbon dioxide. This way, our body gets the oxygen it needs and gets rid of the waste carbon dioxide.

like a fart?

Well, sort of! When we fart, it's actually the release of excess gas that builds up in our digestive system. Gas exchange in our bodies refers to the process of exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide between our lungs and blood, not so much related to farting.
