For example, President Franklin D. Roosevelt used executive orders to create the Works Progress Administration and tackle the economic challenges of the Great Depression. Another advantage is that executive orders provide a clear and direct path for the President to exercise their authority, ensuring effective and efficient decision-making. However, a disadvantage of relying on executive orders is that they can be easily challenged and overturned through the judicial system. For instance, President Barack Obama's executive order on immigration, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), faced numerous legal challenges and its future remains uncertain. Additionally, executive orders can bypass the democratic process by excluding the input and debate of other branches of government and the public, potentially undermining the principle of checks and balances.

Using executive orders is when the President tells everyone what to do without asking Congress. It can be good because it helps the President do things quickly without waiting for other people to agree. Like when President Roosevelt made jobs during the Great Depression. But sometimes, people can go to court and say that the President shouldn't be able to do that. Like when President Obama wanted to help kids who came to America without papers, some people didn't think it was fair and went to court. It's also not really fair because other people don't get to say what they think before the President decides.
