Traditionally yellow and square shaped, but now available in an array of colors and shapes, adhesive notes can be found stuck to walls, desks, and computer monitors. These easily removable notes that leave few marks began as a failed experiment. The hope was to create an exceptionally strong adhesive substance for use in aeronautical engineering.
