Based on the double bubble map, I would have supported the Republican Party at this time. The map shows that the Republicans were in favor of abolishing slavery, which aligns with my belief in social equality and justice. Additionally, the Republicans were in favor of high tariffs to protect American industries, which I believe would help stimulate the economy and create jobs for American citizens. Lastly, the map indicates that the Republicans supported a strong central government, which would ensure stability and unity within the country. Based on these factors, I feel that supporting the Republican Party would have been the right choice for me during this time.
