Shoneys is solving the equation X over 7-4 equals -6 one of her steps is two multiply both sides of the equation by seven why does she do this?

Shoneys multiplies both sides of the equation by seven in order to eliminate the fraction. By multiplying both sides by seven, the fraction (X/7) will be eliminated, and the equation will become easier to solve.
