Continuous vs. Discrete: Finding Domain and Range Review

We will have to determine and write domain and range differently depending if the data is discrete or continuous (click each below 👇):

1. Continuous Data:

For continuous data, the domain is the set of all possible input values, and the range is the set of all possible output values. We typically express the domain and range using inequalities or interval notation.

2. Discrete Data:
For discrete data, the domain is the set of all possible input values, and the range is the set of all possible output values. However, since discrete data consists of individual points or specific values, we usually express the domain and range using set notation or a list of values.
