Signed Elmer Voyal, Elmer the 2nd.

The man who wrote this document was a knight and the kings royal scribe. His name was Nathine. He also wrote a journal and stated thus: I was partly scared when I wrote the document to Derenle for I feared the kings anger at the time. He passed back and forth telling me what to write, and yelled at me for making a couple errors. His majesty never acts that way he only did on this occasion due to only that morning two men tried to kidnap Victra the princess. He even yelled at his own son for interrupting him. He also yelled at the gate Lord (the man in charge of the archers at the palace and city gates) for letting such men in. I could hardly believe this for he has such good relationship with him. But he apologised to us all later on, save the gate Lord for he gave him a letter saying he knew his ground. I also wrote that but did not understand it as the gate Lord did.

As the royal scribe, I found myself trembling in fear as I sat down to write the document to Derenle Argren, the chosen bodyguard for Princess Victra Voyal. King Elmer II had entrusted this important task to me, as he believed in my abilities to accurately convey his thoughts and instructions.

The King's anger was palpable as he paced back and forth in his study, dictating his words to me. He was clearly tense and infuriated, a stark contrast to his typically composed demeanor. It was understandable, given the events that had unfolded earlier that day.

Just that morning, two audacious men had attempted to kidnap Princess Victra, and it had shaken the King to his core. He had always been fiercely protective of his daughters, and this brazen act only fueled his fury. As I wrote, he vented his anger and frustration, berating me for any errors or mistakes I made. His voice thundered through the room, his face red with righteous indignation.

Not even his own son was spared from the King's wrath. Prince Denilo, who had come to inquire about the incident, was met with a stern rebuke. The King's grip on his temper was slipping, and he seemed to lash out at anyone who crossed his path.

Even the gate Lord, who was usually in the King's good graces, faced the brunt of his anger. The King, in a fit of rage, berated him for allowing the would-be kidnappers to breach the palace grounds. The gate Lord was handed a letter, which I transcribed without comprehending its contents, but it seemed to bring a measure of assurance to the King.

As I finished writing the document, I couldn't help but wonder about the significance of Derenle Argren as the chosen bodyguard. The King's trust in him ran deep, for he was not only his grandson but also the nephew of Princess Victra herself. Derenle had earned the King's confidence through unwavering loyalty and a willingness to protect the princess at all costs.

In the midst of the King's fury, I completed the document with a mixture of trepidation and relief. I knew that it was my duty to accurately convey the King’s words and feelings, but I couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for him. The love he held for his daughters and the fear that their lives were being threatened both fueled his anger and clouded his usually measured judgement.

As I handed the document to Derenle, I hoped that he would understand the weight of the responsibility placed upon him. The King's anger may have been fierce, but it was fueled by his deep love and concern for his youngest daughter's safety. It was now up to Derenle to fulfill the King's wishes and protect Princess Victra with his own life, a duty that required strength, loyalty, and unwavering dedication.
