In 3–5 sentences, compare the political and territorial changes that occurred at the end of the Second World War and in the last decade of the twentieth century.(4 points)

At the end of the Second World War, significant political and territorial changes took place as a result of the war and the subsequent peace treaties. The most notable changes were the division of Germany into East and West, as well as the formation of new countries such as the Soviet Union in Eastern Europe. In the last decade of the twentieth century, however, the political and territorial changes were driven by the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War. This led to the reunification of Germany, the independence of many Eastern European countries from Soviet control, and the disintegration of the Soviet Union itself.
