Plants do not recycle hydrogen during cellular respiration. Hydrogen is primarily obtained from water during photosynthesis and is used to produce glucose. During cellular respiration, glucose is broken down to release energy, but hydrogen is not recycled. Instead, it combines with oxygen to form water as a byproduct.
