Walt Disney is a widely recognized name. Disney became interested in drawing cartoons at a young age. This talent ultimately led him to become a beloved American icon. Disney created Mickey Mouse in 1928.
By 1934 Disney began creating animated movies like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Surprisingly, most people at the time believed movies would wreck Disney’s company and career like an earthquake. However, Disney committed a great deal of time and money to make sure everything in his first movie was perfect. He even brought animals into the studio to help artists make realistic drawings!
Disney proved his critics wrong when Snow White became the most successful film made to that date. Disney went on to create movies like Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Cinderella, Peter Pan, and One Hundred and One Dalmatians. He used new technology in each movie to improve its quality. Disney’s life’s work will forever be remembered through his classic movies, theme parks, and of course, Mickey Mouse.
