Why is it illegal to download music from many p2p networks

Downloading music from many P2P (peer-to-peer) networks is illegal due to copyright infringement. When you download music without permission from the copyright owner, you are essentially stealing their intellectual property. The artists, record labels, and other rights holders invest time, money, and effort into creating and distributing their music, so they have the right to control how it is shared and consumed. Downloading music from P2P networks without proper authorization violates these rights and is considered illegal in most jurisdictions.
