Superior court

Inferior courts

Superior court refers to a court with jurisdiction over cases of general importance and typically handled by judges with more experience and authority. In the United States, it is often the highest level of trial court in a state or region.

Inferior courts, on the other hand, refer to lower-level courts that handle less important or specific matters. They typically have limited jurisdiction and handle minor offenses, small claims, and preliminary matters. Examples of inferior courts in the United States include municipal courts, traffic courts, and small claims courts.
