The exact amount of sewage and industrial waste pumped into the Ganges River is difficult to determine due to varying factors such as sources, locations, and fluctuations over time. However, according to estimates from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India, it is believed that around 3 billion liters of domestic sewage and 500 million liters of industrial waste are discharged into the Ganges River on a daily basis. These figures, however, are not in tons but rather in volume.
