where do the commas go?
You can't add or subtract like and unlike denominators because it would not add correctly like adding 1/2 to 25/45 it doesn't add evenly. I am adding apples to oranges and I have 1/4 apples and 5/45 oranges I need for fruit bowls but the fractions don't add up evenly I would have to change the fractions so they add up.
