In conclusion, this research proposal aims to shed light on the perception of influence in Erin Gruwell's "Freedom Writers". With an increasing focus on understanding the impact of influential figures in society, this study seeks to explore how Gruwell, as a teacher, influenced her students' lives and shaped their perspectives. By conducting interviews and surveys among individuals who have read the book or watched the movie adaptation, this research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the varied ways in which Gruwell's influence is perceived. Understanding this perception will not only contribute to the existing literature on educational influence but also provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers seeking to replicate or analyze Gruwell's strategies and success.
