20 You like toy trucks
and rubber ducks.
You climb the walls
and throw footballs.

You play outside
and like to slide.
You ride your bike
and know what you like.

You love your dad
and cry when you’re sad.
You watch cartoons
and pop balloons.

But then you grow
and you start to let go.
You like different things
and start to spread your wings.

You love life
minus the strife.
You learn new skills
and experience some thrills.

No matter your age
you can turn the page.
Remember who you are
You are a shining star.
