State the three functions of machines and give an example of

a machine for each function.

1. Input: Machines that perform the function of input take in raw materials or information and convert them into a different form. An example of such a machine is a printing press, which takes input in the form of ink and paper and produces printed newspapers, books, or posters.

2. Processing: Machines that perform the function of processing manipulate or transform the input to achieve a desired outcome. A computer is an example of a machine that performs processing functions as it takes input in the form of data, processes it through various software programs, and produces output in the form of information or results.

3. Output: Machines that perform the function of output deliver the processed or final result to the user or another system. A television is an example of a machine that provides output by displaying images and sound. It takes input signals and converts them into audiovisual content for the viewers.
