Gynecologist

A gynecologist is a medical doctor who specializes in women's reproductive health. They diagnose and treat various conditions related to the female reproductive system, such as menstrual problems, infertility, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and menopausal symptoms. They also provide routine preventive care, including pelvic exams, Pap smears, and vaccinations. Gynecologists may also perform surgeries, such as hysterectomies or removing ovarian cysts. Additionally, some gynecologists provide prenatal care and deliver babies. It is recommended that women start seeing a gynecologist for routine check-ups and screenings by the age of 21 or when they become sexually active.
