What is pidgins

A pidgin is a simplified language that emerges as a means of communication between groups of people who do not have a common language. Pidgins typically develop in situations where there is a need for communication, such as in trade or colonization. They are often characterized by a simplified grammar, vocabulary borrowed from multiple languages, and limited use of complex language structures. Pidgins can evolve into Creole languages if they become the native language of a community and acquire more complex grammar and vocabulary over time.
