The most common soft tissue tumor in the uterus is a leiomyoma, also known as a uterine fibroid. Leiomyomas are benign tumors that originate from the smooth muscle cells of the uterus. They are usually asymptomatic, but can cause symptoms such as heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and reproductive issues.
