What ascention in the bible

The term "ascension" in the Bible generally refers to the event when Jesus Christ was taken up to heaven in bodily form after His resurrection. This event is described in Chapter 1 of the Book of Acts (Acts 1:9-11) and is celebrated by Christians as the Feast of the Ascension, typically 40 days after Easter Sunday.

Here is the passage from Acts that describes the Ascension:

Acts 1:9-11 (NIV)
>9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
>10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
>11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

The ascension signifies the completion of Christ's earthly ministry and the glorification of Jesus, as He took His place at the right hand of God the Father. It also signifies the beginning of the believers’ mission on earth, as they awaited the promised Holy Spirit to empower them for evangelism and service, which would occur at Pentecost.
