The Russian imperial methods of political control were kinda successful, I guess. They had a strong leader called the Tsar, who ruled with lots of power and could do whatever he wanted. The Tsar had control over the government, the military, and the church, which helped them keep control over the people. But not everyone was happy with this type of rule, and eventually the people got really mad and there was a revolution that changed everything.
