Also in what ways might we be wasting our natural capital?
The "correct" answer is that we're not living sustainable life styles because we're using our non-renewable resources such as gas, oil, and petroleum. Just as spending your monetary capital diminishes the amount you have, so does using our resources diminish the amount we have.
On the other hand, using our non-renewable resources today is spurring our research and use of renewable resources. When people run out of one resource, they find substitutes.
