According to the World Health Organization, secondhand smoke contains over 7,000 chemicals, including at least 69 that are known to cause cancer. Non-smokers who are exposed to secondhand smoke are at an increased risk of developing lung cancer, heart disease, and respiratory problems."

Studies have shown that the healthcare costs associated with treating smoking-related illnesses are significant. According to the American Lung Association, the annual economic burden of smoking in the United States is over $300 billion, including direct medical expenses and lost productivity."

3. The third body paragraph should further support the main point of the essay with another fact, example, statistic, or reason.
Example: "Furthermore, banning smoking in public places not only protects the health of individuals but also improves the overall environment.
