Nebulae are massive clouds of gas and dust in space. They are often the birthplaces of stars and planetary systems. Inside a nebula, the gravitational forces cause the gas and dust to come together and form clumps called protostars. As these protostars continue to accumulate matter, they become denser and hotter, eventually triggering nuclear fusion in their cores, which turns them into main-sequence stars. Additionally, nebulae can also give rise to other objects such as planets, asteroids, comets, and even galaxies, depending on their composition and environmental conditions.
