During the interview, you can ask follow-up questions – questions that give you more detailed information,
such as Can you give me another example? or Can you explain why?

Interviewer: Thank you for joining us today. Let's start with some questions about your language skills. Can you tell me about your proficiency in different languages?

Interviewee: Of course. I am fluent in English as it is my native language. I have also studied French in school for several years, so I would say I have an intermediate level of proficiency in that language.

Interviewer: That's great. Can you give me an example of a situation where you had to use your French language skills?

Interviewee: Sure. When I was traveling in France last year, I had to communicate with the locals on a daily basis. I could order food at restaurants, ask for directions, and have basic conversations with people. It was a valuable experience that improved my language skills.

Interviewer: Excellent. How about any other languages? Do you have any knowledge of other languages apart from English and French?

Interviewee: Yes, I have some basic knowledge of Spanish and German as well. I have taken introductory courses in both languages during my college years, but I wouldn't consider myself proficient in them. I can understand and make simple conversations, but I am still in the learning process.

Interviewer: That's interesting. Can you explain why you chose to learn Spanish and German?

Interviewee: Absolutely. I chose to learn Spanish because of its prevalence in many parts of the world and its usefulness in various professional fields. As for German, it caught my interest due to its rich culture and the opportunities it can provide. I believe that learning different languages broadens my horizons and allows me to connect with people from different backgrounds.

Interviewer: Thank you for sharing that. It seems like you have a well-rounded language proficiency. Your experiences and dedication to learning languages will definitely be an asset in our multicultural work environment.
