How to make vegan gummy bears

To make vegan gummy bears, you will need the following ingredients:

- 1 cup of fruit juice (such as orange juice, apple juice, or any other fruit juice of your choice)
- 1/4 cup of agar agar powder (a vegan gelatin substitute)
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup or agave nectar (for sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract (optional, for flavor)

Instructions:

1. In a saucepan, combine the fruit juice and agar agar powder. Whisk together until the powder is dissolved.

2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes while stirring constantly to prevent clumps from forming.

3. Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in the maple syrup or agave nectar, and vanilla extract (if using). Make sure everything is thoroughly combined.

4. Pour the mixture into silicone bear-shaped molds or any other desired shapes. You can also use a baking dish lined with parchment paper and cut them into small squares later.

5. Place the molds or dish in the refrigerator and let them chill for at least 2 hours, or until they are completely set and firm.

6. Once the gummy bears are set, gently remove them from the molds or cut them into squares if you used a baking dish.

7. Store the vegan gummy bears in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
