What is forgiveness?

Forgiveness is the act of letting go of resentment, anger, or any negative feelings towards someone who has wronged or hurt you. It involves pardoning the person, releasing any desire for revenge or retaliation, and choosing to not hold their actions against them anymore. It does not necessarily involve forgetting or condoning their actions, but rather acknowledging the pain caused and deciding to move forward without carrying the burden of anger or bitterness. Forgiveness can be a personal process of healing and liberation, enabling individuals to find peace, emotional freedom, and even reconciliation with the person they forgive.
