The dynasty established by the Manchus from 1644-1912 is known as the Qing Dynasty. It is considered the last imperial dynasty of China. The Manchus were an ethnic minority group from the northeast of China, and they overthrew the previous Ming Dynasty to establish their rule. The Qing Dynasty was characterized by significant territorial expansion, particularly in the northwest and southwest regions of China. However, it also faced internal challenges, such as political corruption and rebellions, as well as external pressures from Western powers seeking to exploit China's resources. The dynasty eventually collapsed in 1912, leading to the establishment of the Republic of China.
