Question 4 (Marks: 10)

You are required to use Project Management Software such as Microsoft Project or any suitable
application software such as TeamGantt for this task.
LU1 and LU5 articles and readings will further help you complete this question.
Q.4.1 With reference to the project selected above and completed, build an Agile
project task list
The project you build should demonstrate the following:
a. Set up tasks for project initiation and releases (2 marks).
b. Create and manage the product backlog (2 marks).
c. Assigning features to a print (2 marks).
d. Assigning resources to features (2 marks).
(8)
Q.4.2 Using the same project above, generate a burndown report.

In order to generate a burndown report for the selected project, you will need to use a project management software that supports Agile methodology, such as Microsoft Project or TeamGantt. Here is an example of how to generate a burndown report using Microsoft Project:

1. Open Microsoft Project and open the project file of the selected project.
2. Make sure that you have set up the project tasks, releases, and product backlog as per the Agile methodology. This should include breaking down the project into smaller tasks, defining releases, and creating a backlog of user stories or features.
3. Go to the "Task" tab and click on the "Reports" button.
4. Select the "Burndown" report from the available report options.
5. Customize the report by selecting the appropriate date range, sprint duration, and other relevant parameters.
6. Click on the "View Report" button to generate the burndown report.
7. Analyze the burndown chart to track the progress of the project. The burndown chart will show the planned work (backlog) and the actual work completed over time. The ideal line represents the planned or expected completion rate, while the actual line represents the actual progress of the project. Any deviations from the ideal line can help identify potential issues or risks.
8. Use the burndown report to monitor the progress of the project, identify any bottlenecks or delays, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays on track.

Note: The exact steps and options may vary depending on the project management software you are using. TeamGantt, for example, may have a different user interface and workflow for generating burndown reports. Please refer to the documentation or help resources of your chosen software for specific instructions.
