Yazdegerd III was the last ruler of the Sasanian Empire, which was the last Persian empire before the Muslim conquest of Persia. He reigned from 632 to 651 AD. Yazdegerd III faced numerous challenges during his reign, including the expansion of the Islamic Caliphate under the leadership of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and his successors. Ultimately, the Sasanian Empire was defeated by the Arab Muslim forces, and Yazdegerd III was killed in 651 AD, marking the end of the Sasanian dynasty and the beginning of Muslim rule in Persia.
